Vaginal Tightening

Age and childbirth cause vaginal tissue to lose elasticity and/or expand. This is comparable to the expansion of the abdomen during pregnancy. Extreme stretching processes that occur during natural childbirth can loosen the vagina. Many sufferers complain of a loss in sexual pleasure during intercourse.

The Operation

An operation to remove the excess vaginal skin can restore the vagina to its original shape and size giving it renewed elasticity and tightness. This usually leads to an increase in sexual pleasure.

Before the Operation

The procedure is usually done under general anesthesia, and so fasting before the operation is necessary. An inpatient overnight stay is not necessary. No blood thinning agents such as aspirin are to be taken within the week prior to the operation.

During the Operation

In order to tighten the vagina, excess skin tissue is removed from the entire length of the vagina starting at the opening. Cuts are then closed using soluble stitches.

After the Operation

Healing is not problematic due to good blood circulation. Sensitivity temporarily increases after the procedure.

Possible Complications

There are rare cases where the bladder or intestine are damaged.
