Bone Grafting

If the jaw bone has detieriorated or there has been much inflammation some patients require bone grafting.

In this case inserting an implant is not so easy. A bone transplant from another area of the jaw is possible if it is a matter of a couple of single tooth gaps. For larger gaps however, bone has to be taken from the hipbone and transplanted into the jaw. The hipbone is an excellent source of strong healthy bone necessary for a strong jaw and good bone development.
